As the third largest and second heaviest land mammal on Earth, Hippos are not only big, they are bold. If you look at a Hippo, you can easily be deceived. Portly bulky bodies and stocky legs create an impression the Hippo is slow and clumsy. But these African “River Horses” are anything but! They have a special distinction that warrants respect, and they have a very unusual "beauty" treatment. They also make an impact on their environment, and it’s a positive one for humans. Find out more as we explore the swamps and lakes in sub-Saharan Africa on our walk with Hippos.
