Pam (aka Z3 Mom) - Lead Walker
I believe where you put your time is what is important to you. All my life, I've put time into animals. Animal educator and guide at the San Francisco Zoo. Over a decade helping at Animal Humane New Mexico in Albuquerque. Volunteer Coordinator for Albuquerque BioPark's Run for the Zoo. EleAmbassador for The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Fundraising for multiple rescues. Author of two children's books. Giving numerous animal talks at active adult communities and public libraries which ultimately led to my decision to create this site. Animals have, and always will, play an important part in my life.
I also believe in lifelong learning. We don't stop growing or challenging ourselves unless we choose to. A spiritual gifts profile I completed once highlighted teaching as a gift God has given me. This site seeks to honor Him by teaching people about the creatures He has divinely designed. Have I used my gift effectively? I'll let you decide when you take walks on the wild side.
You will hear my voice on the video lessons, but you won't see me. This site isn't about me -- it's about and for the animals. Their lives in the wild, the challenges they face and the importance they play in our world. Listen. Learn. And be amazed at what the animals teach you. I did and it changed my life. Join me on the wild side for an educational adventure you'll remember!

My journey into animal education would not have been possible without the support of family, friends & students. But special, well-deserved gratitude goes to:

Blessed to have connected with this masterful artist for hundreds of illustrations over the last 5 years. The fun graphics you see on the site pages are characteristic of Eduardo's contribution; he is an expert at giving images a personality! Geographically we are miles apart, but we are close in heart in our love for animals. Te lo agradezco, amigo!

Z3 Zoology started with Zoey's love of big animals (her best friend was a horse). It grew to be something so much more. My dogs are a daily reminder of what matters most. Living life like the gate was wide open! Keeping fit with long walks. Rejuvenating after a hard day of playing. Giving kisses and cuddles and forgiveness when needed. Dog is God spelled backwards; I don't think that is a coincidence. While Z3 (Zoey, Zeke & Zane) have passed, Zia & Ziggy continue the Z3 history of inspiring me and lighting up my life!
Big shout out to the JCC Branch team for supporting me during the many hours I spent at the recording studio capturing the audio used in the videos. Thank you, Ben and team! I'll see you next month!
